FamilyTherapy Trailer (Animation)
Truth Detector is a series of three stand-alone animated short films about a device that can distinguish between true and false statements. A high school science teacher discovers the device and brings it home to his family — and it doesn’t go over very well. "Truth Detector: Family Therapy" is the final film in the trilogy. The first short is simply titled "Truth Detector," and the second is "Truth Detector: Regifted." The first two animated shorts have screened at multiple festivals across the US and have raked in numerous awards include "Best Animation". I wrote, directed, animated, edited—basically worked the entire animation and production pipeline—for these films. The crazy part is that I had about eight weeks, from first frame to last frame, to complete each one. "Truth Detector: Family Therapy" starts it festival run in March 2026. These films were a joy to create, and I hope you enjoy watching them as much as I enjoyed making them. Check out the other two films here: https://www.realimagesvfx.com/truthdetector

Collision Recreation 02
This is a forensic reconstruction of a vehicle collision. Using Event Data Recorder (EDR) information extracted from the vehicle’s “black box”—including velocity, GPS position, heading, and time-stamped telemetry—I recreated the incident dynamics to model the sequence of events leading up to and during impact.

Truth Detector: Regifted (Trailer)
It’s Christmas. It has been three months since we last visited with the family. And the holidays are a time for rejuvenation. Well, so we thought. Truth Detector: Regifted takes place three months after the previous animation, Truth Detector. The family is visiting grandpa, the mother's father, for Christmas. Christmas isn't complete without Christmas gifts. However, some gifts just keep on giving. Truth Detector: Regifted is a standalone animation short. However, if you haven't seen the first film, you'd still enjoy and appreciate this one. View the whole animation here: https://www.realimagesvfx.com/truthdetector

twoPointZero (Animation)
These are clips from my short animation TwoPointZero. The story is about a robot that wakes up on a desolate planet with no memory of how or why it got there. The robot soon discovers that it is being hunted. I wrote a sequel to this story and need to dust it off the shelf and put it into production.

Proof of Concept – Aerial Combat Sequence
This film concept showcases an intense aerial dogfight. The sequence features a nimble American P-51 Mustang being relentlessly pursued by two German Messerschmitt Bf 109 fighters. Rapid, tightly edited shots emphasize the speed and agility of the aircraft, with dynamic camera angles that convey the chaos and tension of mid-air combat. Smoke trails, evasive maneuvers, and strategic formations highlight the tactical engagement, giving viewers a visceral sense of aerial warfare. This proof of concept demonstrates the potential for fully realized, high-adrenaline sequences that blend historical aircraft accuracy with cinematic storytelling.

Eye Paint VFX
Here is another enhancement shot. The actress does have the words “Love You” written on her eyelids, but the practical makeup needed a bit more punch. I tracked the actress’s face, painted out the original makeup, and added clearer text that reads well on camera. This shot is from the film Wanna Be a Star.

Opening battle scene for the film Submerge: Blue Star. I created the 2.5-minute opening sequence with fighter ships, explosions, and digital set extensions. This sets the tone for the film. I will do a breakdown for more of the complex shots soon. In the meantime, enjoy the whole film where available from DV Entertainment.

Precious VFX
Here is one VFX shot I worked on for the film The Precarious Perils of Poor Patricia Packard, directed by William Fischer. The plate was shot in a stationary vintage car. To give the scene the sense that the vehicle is moving, I added animated reflections in the glass and subtle camera bumps. I also added smoke to the actors’ cigars. No cigars were harmed in the making of this film.

Medical Device Animation
This animation illustrates the internal structure and functional mechanics of a medical laboratory culture flask. The device is designed to support the controlled growth of biological cultures, such as cells or microorganisms, under sterile conditions. The animation provides insight into how the flask maintains an optimal environment for growth, including features such as gas exchange, nutrient containment, contamination prevention, and structural design that supports consistent incubation. By visualizing components that are not typically visible to the naked eye, the animation helps clarify how the flask functions at both a structural and biological level.

Indiana Museum of Art-Exhibition VFX/2D Animation
This short clip is part of a museum exhibition. A disc-shaped stone is used to make decisions for the tribe. The stone is rolled, and tribal leaders throw spears at where they think the stone will stop. Whoever comes closest wins. This clip was made by rotoscoping (tracing) a single actor who plays multiple characters. The spears were added digitally.

Digital Makeup VFX
Here are several visual effects breakdowns from the 54 shots I completed for the feature film Wigg’d Out. The majority of the work centered on advanced face tracking and digital cosmetic enhancements, including eyebrow removal, hairline modification, and selective object replacement. Each shot required precise motion tracking and compositing to ensure the digital alterations remained seamless and consistent under varying lighting conditions, camera angles, and performance nuances. The film’s main character lives with alopecia—an autoimmune condition that results in hair loss. Because the lead actress naturally had a full head of hair and eyebrows, it was essential to digitally remove these features throughout the production to maintain character continuity and authenticity. This required meticulous frame-by-frame tracking, detailed rotoscoping, and realistic skin reconstruction to preserve natural texture, shadow, and facial expression. The goal was to ensure that the visual effects were completely invisible to the audience while fully supporting the emotional integrity and realism of the character.

Architectural Flythrough – Remodeling Visualization
This animation presents a detailed flythrough of the building during its remodeling phase. It provides a clear visualization of the design intent, showing how this section of the building will appear once construction is complete. The sequence highlights key architectural features, updated layouts, and interior finishes, giving stakeholders a realistic preview of the remodeled space. By combining accurate spatial representation with high-quality rendering, this flythrough effectively communicates the vision for the project and aids in planning, decision-making, and client presentations.
